Memories of such detail, (maybe it was 1994 !) fade but our computer customer records don't, it's simply that our computer records only go back to 1996. This means we have a large collection of patterns for the covers, and an abundance of expertise in making them.

Outdoor covers offer protection from natural pollutants like bird droppings and tree sap, snow and ice, acid rain, industrial pollutants, dust and airborne dirt, ultra-violet radiation, hot sunshine. These are covers that are suitable for continuous outdoor use.

Our Outdoor covers incorporate a door-zip (with an inner protective flap) on both sides, have hem elastic and include several underneath straps.
NB The straps are not sewn to the cover, they are detachable and simply buckle to the hem on both ends. This means (a) it is easier to install the cover without these straps flapping about & (b) you lie them on the ground before parking so you don't have to throw them under, then they're really easy to pick up and buckle to the hem.
Our polyester woven textile is 90% waterproof (and therefore breathable), according to testing to BSI standards. To all intents and purposes this would be 100% waterproof when stretched across a frame, for example an umbrella.
The cause of water ingress is wicking, which can occur when a fabric comes in to close contact with a smooth surface, for instance car bodywork.Because of the breathability (which allows any moisture to evaporate from under the cover), this is a satisfactory condition for almost all circumstances, and certainly means that sweating will not occur.
If you want a higher level of waterproofing without losing breathability, we recommend using one of our under-covers, which will raise the waterproofing level from the standard 90% to 99% under-cover
By the way, you cannot have both 100% waterproof (eg pvc, other plastic) and breathability (certainly not on a car, perhaps on a human body), its a complete contradiction !
All our Outdoor covers are supplied with a holdall and at least three under body straps, most linousine and hearse covers have more.

Outdoor Technical Information
Our full size Outdoor Covers are made with a 300D* woven textile, proofed with an aluminised finish to reflect ultra-violet sunlight and heat. The proofing specification ensures 90% water proofing without loss of breathability.
We have not found any fabric/material that achieves the Holy Grail of 100% waterproof (ie, totally impervious to water) yet is breathable. This is a contradiction; you can have one or the other, not both. True, there are fabrics that supposedly achieve this when used as outer clothing (e.g. Gore-Tex). The catch is that the breathability is forced by the warmth of the body wearing it; rather difficult with a vehicle cover!
Our Outdoor Limo & Hearse Covers have driver and passenger door zips, you can feel safe with the knowledge that the zip has a fabric cover to prevent it coming into contact with the paintwork.

In-Garage car covers offer protection from knocks and spills, dust and cats etc. They are suitable for continuous permanent indoor use.

Like our Outdoor covers, our In-Garage covers incorporate a door-zip (with an inner protective flap) on both sides.
Our In-Garage covers have elasticated hems at both ends. More than enough to keep the cover on the limo or hearse when you get a draft from an open garage door. Red corners at the rear and white at the front, just so you know which way round it fits.
And they are machine washable and dry quickly.
All our In-Garage covers are supplied with a holdall.
In-Garage Technical Information
In-Garage covers are manufactured using a lightweight silky nylon textile with acrylic proofing to render the material truly dustproof. The cover is breathable, and can be easily washed.
We do not use cotton, the traditional material for inside use, because:
(a) it is difficult to make it dust proof, and the treatment to do this does wash out after a few washes. (By the way, if you can blow through it, dust can get through !)
(b) it is very good at absorbing damp ! (think of towels, etc). So any damp air in your garage equals a damp "face cloth" lying on your vehicle and, without a draft, this might take days to dry at some times of the year !
You can feel safe with the knowledge that the driver and passenger door zips have a fabric cover to prevent them coming into contact with the paintwork, and the zip itself is plastic, not metal.
Optional Extras (Outdoor and In-Garage)
- Rear zips.
- Rear zips allow you to open the boot or hearse rear without removing the cover.
- Leave the rear underneath strap in place; simply unzip first, then undo the buckle at the end of each zip.
- Use the Velcro tabs to hold the cover up off the ground
- Mirror and Aerial Pockets.
- Upgrade the fit of your cover pockets which are designed to fit over wing or door mounted mirrors or non-retractable aerials. Fit them yourselves or use our fitting service.
- Wheel covers.
- Designed for use on wheels on the vehicle, they can also be used as a spare wheel cover. They keep the UV off the tyres and deter wheel thieves.

- Severe wind conditions.
- Strong wind conditions place a tough demand on any cover.
- Our elastic straps totally encircle the vehicle (unlike an underbody strap which buckles to the cover) and, because they are flat elastic (not bungee), they provide a suitably tensioned grip without strain. Really, and obviously, outdoor only although they can, of course, be used inside.
